Everyone is welcome! We meet live, online weekly. We have designed each session to stand alone, and all of the topics are interconnected.
Since moving to Maui in 2010, Jori and Jim Manske, CNVC Certified Trainers since 2003, have been hosting weekly Nonviolent Communication practice groups in Haiku. When the pandemic began, they moved this and other events online. Now people from all over the world come together virtually to explore the skills and consciousness of NVC!
Each week we take a deep dive into a Nonviolent Communication skill. We include a self-connection exercise designed to awaken the skill, a lesson to clarify important NVC concepts, opportunities to connect in small groups, and ample opportunities to practice so you can increase your skills and capability. Together, we will build a culture of nonviolence and interdependence, one skill at a time. All are welcome. No previous experience needed.
Offerings are recorded, and links to recent classes are provided in the right column.
We freely offer our classes in the spirit of compassionate giving & receiving. If you would like to contribute, please click here to donate to CNVC. When you choose to give, please let us know so we can savor your giving! If you would prefer to give directly to Jim and Jori, please use paypal and send to email@example.com.

Exploring the Vortex of Submission often has the effect of jaw-dropping “aha” as participants connect with a previously unseen habitual pattern. This pattern has likely been the root of suffering in your relationships, both personal and professional.
To celebrate finishing the Pathways to Liberation Matrix and consolidate our learning, we will explore the entire Matrix with a guided self-assessment.
Supporting holistic systems is the skill of consciously participating in the creation and evolution of holistic systems that foster general well-being.
Awareness of response-ability is freely choosing one’s responses to what shows up in life, owning one’s part in what happens. Not owning others’ parts, and acknowledging that one’s actions do influence others.
Transcending roles means we are aware that we are not the roles we play; having a choice about what roles we adopt and how we respond to the roles others adopt.
